Arraignments
Initial arraignments on warrants occur in the district courts; expedited docket cases have all other proceedings at circuit level. All weekend and holiday felony arraignments for Wayne County are conducted at the 3rd Circuit Court.

Cash bonds on circuit court cases are paid through the court of jurisdiction Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; outside those hours bonds are accepted 24/7 at the Wayne County Jail (5301 Russell St, same complex).
Jurisdiction
All of Wayne County; handles all felony cases bound over from Wayne County district courts and district court criminal appeals. The Criminal Division relocated from the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice (1441 St. Antoine) to the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center on September 3, 2024.
